Unable to save files from a network share
Running Win 7 on client and server 2003 w/AD. My user is unable to save files that are in a network share. All the rights are properly set, even assigned him domain admin rights temporarily. No go. But, if he logs in to a different PC-XP he is able to modify the file without any problems. If I login to his Win 7 machine, I'm able to modify the network file. The problem only occurs when he logs in to his Win7 machine! So, it is something with his profile on that specific Win7 PC. He can rename the file and save it without any problems. Any ideas? I've searched around for ideas and possible solutions without any luck. Any help would be appreciated. Error message: The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

I would rename his profile folder in order for a new profile to be created at the next logon. _________________________ If this response resolves your problem, please click "Propose as answer" so that the thread can be closed. Thanks.

I will do that, but I would like to find the cause of the problem. Thank you.
