Unauthenticated Network for Wireless Connection
We are using Netbooks and the Wireless connection is set with a group policy that applies to a specific group a Wireless network. We feed the image via WDS, join the machine to the domain, make sure the gpos apply fine. Intead of the normal public, home
or work icon, I get a yellow sign with an exclamation mark on it.
The network shows as connected, but it is not working.
I tried taking it out of the domain, dlete the computar account, re-join to the domain, but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Hi David,
It is possible the issue is related to the certification. Also, did you set Network Access Protection (NAP)?
If it is convenient for you, could you please send the Network Access Protection Event logs for further research?
1. Click "Start", input "eventvwr" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search bar and press Enter.
2. Expand the "Applications and Services Logs" ->
Microsoft -> Windows ->
Network Access Protection node on the left pane.
3. Right-click on "Operational" and click "Save All Events As"; in the pop-up window, click to choose the
Desktop icon on the left frame, input "Operational" in the "File name" blank, and then click
Save.
4. Right click on "WHC", with the same method, save it as "WHC".
5. Locate the two saved log files on the Desktop and send them to us.

The issue was associated with the DHCP configuration.
The Wireless settings where transmited via GPO, but the Network mask was wrong, so as soon as they get an IP address the network cannot authenticate as the Gateway was unreachable.
One day worth of work wasted bacause of a miscalculation of the network team.....
Linda, thank you for your help.Colabora con el foro: Si el mensaje te es de utilidad mrcalo como respuesta.
