Unexpected Shutdown
I like many others am experiencing numerous unexpected shutdowns each day. I close my email and internet explorer every night when I am ready to go to bed and when I get up in the morning I get "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" with nothing open. I also have this happen several time per day sometimes when I am just listening to music thru the media palyer. The computer report shows: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 124 BCP1: 00000000 BCP2: 86B26024 BCP3: B2000000 BCP4: 1040080F OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 C:\Windows\Minidump\032111-23812-01.dmp C:\Users\Larry\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-1936875-0.sysdata.xml I was very happy when I installed Windows 7 but now I am frustrated because it has turned my computer into an unreliable machine that I do not know when it is going to shutdown next. I have recently replaced the video card, sound card and monitor because the monitor failed and HP put the sound and video on one PCB. I have updated the drivers for each one of these devices. I do not know how to update the BIOS on my computer.
