Ok, so my laptop has been working fine, no issues as I keep it well maintained. Info: HP Model G60 Notebook PC Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS Avast antivirus Today, all of a sudden it would not connect to the internet on my wireless network. It says: Currently Connected to: Unidentified network No internet access I restarted the pc, and noticed two pop ups that displayed errors of services that stopped working. The pop ups came and went fast though, so it was hard to see which services it was that it was displaying. I tried to start HP wireless assistant, and the same thing happened, the pop up came up saying it stopped working and then it closed on it's own fast. I opened Reliability Monitor, and sure enough it displayed the errors in "critical events" It says: GFXUI stopped working HP Wireless Assistant Main Program stopped working HP Health Check Service stopped working I guess the last thing I did was update windows, but I did a system restore just in case that was the issue, and the same problem persists. I tried updating the wifi driver, same issue. BIOS, same issue. What would cause these services to stop working? If I can figure that out, maybe I can fix the network issue.

I've tried event viewer and it gives me an error: MMC could not create the snap-in. MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. Name: Event Viewer CLSID: FX:{b05566ad-fe9c-4363-be05-7a4cbb7cb510} ********************************** I thought maybe it could be a system file that was corrupted so I used the system file checker tool as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833 I tried posting the log, but it was too large, but it did find some corrupted files it couldn't fix which I'm not sure if it has anything to do with.
