Unidentiied Network (Public network)
I have Windows 7 on laptop and XP on desktop. Desktop connected to Netgear router (LAN) and I am having trouble getting internet access to laptop. It says I am connected to wireless network, but "Unidentified network" in Ntework Sharing?? Any suggestions

Have you ensure the passphrase & ssid are set accordingly as in having the same passphrase & ssid on both router & wireless connection on your notebook?

Hi, If you want to access the Internet via wired, you could disable the wireless network adapter to see how it works. If you expect that you could connect the Internet via wireless connection, I suggest you configure the router properly as device user guide says.
