Upgrade Question
I purchased a student upgrade of windows 7 Professional with the intention of building my children a new pc using the hard drive from our old PC (This has a licensed copy of Windows XP) Unfortunately this hard drive failed 2 days before I was due to start. I then purchased a new hard drive and a OEM copy of Windows 7 home premium to get the build under way. Is there any way I can use the "professional" disk to upgrade home premium? I have tried entering the product key into Windows Anytime Upgrade but this doesn't work. I can supply product keys for all of the windows versions I have. Many thanks

Hi, Thanks for your posting here. I want to inform you that it’s impossible to upgrade Windows 7 home premium to professional. If you have a Windows 7 professional installation disk, you can perform a clean install on your PC and activate it.
