Upgraded to Microsoft 2010 and have now lost all my Outlook Express emails!!!!!!
Hello,Yesterday I upgraded my pc from 2007 to microsoft 2010, I had no idea that outlook express was no longer supported & so had not backed-up anything from express before upgrading.I used both microsoft outlook + outlook express to run 2 separate email accounts. Micrsosoft Outlook is running fine and has transferred all my old emails/contacts. Express on the other hand is nowhere to be found, I can't open it. I have setup the other email account on the new outlook, & it has transferred the emails from the last 30 days which are on the email server, however anything past this, plus all my folders are missing, and this is what is most important!! Please help me, I had hundreds of emails which are very important to me and I'm in despair that they've all been lost. Thanks, Emma

If you are using Windows XP (which I assume you are as OE won't run on any newer system) then installing Office does NOT remove Outlook Express. It can't because Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer which is part of Windows.I suspect that Outlook has just replced the OE icon for mail.Do a search for msimn.exeYou should find it in c:\program files\outlook express. Then yoiu can add-back a shortcut to your desktop. If you find my response helpful, please click on the "Vote as Helpful" button!Thank you!My Windows Blog
