Upgrading Drive - Bitlocker
Currently have a regular 160GB hard drive in my notebook and just ordered a a SSD to replace it. Before i start the upgrade should i disable or suspend bitlocker? Just don't want any hangups when i go to install the new SSD. thanks, Ncage

Yes. The hardware change will cause bitlocker to react, perhaps blocking the system image restore. Here's a thread that provides more info. What i still don't understand is whether i have to suspend or turn bitlocker off (decrypt drive). When you say "Unlock the drive" i don't know what your referring to. thanks

Suspend temporarily turns off Bitlocker, while decrypt is permanent. Since you are changing hardware, you can be sure of no hang-ups using decrypt. Perform your task, then Bitlocker the new drive.
