Uploading with windows live movie maker block bandwidth
Apparently even with a 10Mb/s internet connection all communication goes very slow while uploading a movie with windows live movie maker. Fx. choosing to upload a movie to youtube, first MM will encode it and then send it, and when it begins to send it almost block other webbrowsing though there should be plenty of bandwidth. Is there anyway to lower upload priority for movie maker, so that internet explorer will come first?

Normally windows live movie maker saves video files as a project file with exetension of .MSWMM, which is not an actual movie file. You need to convert it as .WMV file.If u are uploading,Without conversion surely it will take time so much time to upload. You can convert this project to .wmv format by following these steps: Click File and then select Save Movie File from the dropdown. In the next step, select My Computer as your saving destination, and then click next. Enter a name for your file, and then choose a place to save your movie. In the next step, click Next to start encoding your video with default settings. If you would like to make more advanced adjustments to the file, you may also select Show more choices. Now that you have completed these steps, select the .wmv file that you created, and upload it to YouTube. Regards, Kalyan.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think there is anything wrong with windows live movie maker. It just seems like windows 7 is not distributing upload bandwidth as well as download bandwidth. Immediately after the upload the internet browsing became fast and normal again. But I did something, and the problem seemed to have gone away. I opened task manager -> processes, right-clicked movie maker, and in "Set priority" I sat a below normal priority (which is lower than internet explorer).

During upload to youtube, other internet browsing get really slow and not so good working. Fx. webpages with remote scripting in background often fail. And I tried lowering MM priority again, but it didn't help.
