Using CheckPoint VPN

I have set up a VPN client based on Windows 8.1 CheckPoint VPN. After the set up, the connection connected without any problem. After restart however, tried the connection again, and this time it didn't connect, and it even cause my wifi connection to the network to be disconnected.

I have to disable the wifi and re-enable it again and get the wifi to be connected, then I have to disable the VPN connection, and re-enable it again. Then the VPN connection worked. I have to repeat the steps everytime I want to use the VPN connection.

Any idea why? Am I missing something in the set up?

Few days after following the procedure that fixed the problem, I have been getting BSOD a few times in a day. The error seems to be related to driver changes. The error "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (driver)" error.  I'm not sure whether it is 100% related but, I need to restore back the actual driver by running the verifier following this suggestions

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-performance/driver-irql-not-less-or-equal-neti0sys-blue-screen/b5c6f6e3-02cf-4c75-892d-b62efcd32926

Now I managed to get rid of the BSOD, at least it has not appeared in the past 24 hours.

Then I tested the VPN again, the problem is back.

So one way, you can't connect smoothly to VPN, and the other way, you will occasionally get BSOD. I have to choose the former as I do not want to be crashing unexpectedly few times in a day. As for VPN, I will have to leave with it, by disabling and enabling my WiFi, and reconnect again with the VPN.

Hoping for microsoft to sort out the problem in Windows 10. :)
