Using CheckPoint VPN

I have set up a VPN client based on Windows 8.1 CheckPoint VPN. After the set up, the connection connected without any problem. After restart however, tried the connection again, and this time it didn't connect, and it even cause my wifi connection to the network to be disconnected.

I have to disable the wifi and re-enable it again and get the wifi to be connected, then I have to disable the VPN connection, and re-enable it again. Then the VPN connection worked. I have to repeat the steps everytime I want to use the VPN connection.

Any idea why? Am I missing something in the set up?

To verify the setup of your VPN connection, check out the Windows 8 Setup and *Check Point Remote Access Solutions.
Additional information can be found at *Check Point and *Configure Windows 8.1 VPN.
For your wireless adaptor, disable the IPv6 and only use IPv4. Check Point does not use IPv6.
You could also try uninstalling the WiFi adaptor in the Device Manager, then click on Action and then Scan for Hardware Changes.
If after performing this and you still have to disable the WiFi connection, download and install the latest wireless adaptor driver from the manufacturer.

Thanks Bruce Wooding, that seems to do the trick. The VPN is connecting the first time I tried and not having to enable and disable the wifi.
