VLAN management in Network interface
Hi all,I have todevelop an application to capture/process received Ethernet Packets at Level 2 ISO/OSI.Using common capture tools (Wireshark), I realized that the VLAN Type and VLAN Tag fields (IEEE 802.1Q)are stripped inthe received Ethernet packets (8 bytes):DESTMAC ADDRSOU MAD ADDR0x8100 is stripped0x0002 is strippedPAYLOADI have Broadcom NelLink gigabit ethernet interface, but the same behaviour is observed with other HW interfaces. Is there any way to change the settings in order to receive the packets in a completely transparent way, possibly by shutting down all protocols above? Thanks and regards to all.

Hi, Thank you for posting. Regarding to this case, I suggest you try Microsoft Network Monitor 3.2 and see if it can meet your needs. However, we may need additional parser for VLAN information.
