Hi all XP sp2 machines work fine. The sbs2003 server has a "accept remote connection" vpn setup useing the basic built in MS software In Vista connecting to a XPsp2 hosting VPN it works fine but not to the sbs server. Have tested on other Vista's and the same problem is present. no google searches have helped Event viewer says... Application Log Source - RasClient Event ID 20228 "CoID={F8D0004C-33A0-480C-92D1-AEE949AE4974}: The user DELL610\%removed the username%dialed a connection named%removed theVPN's name%which has failed. The error code returned on failure is 919."

Hi, This is most probably an authentication protocol mismatch error. In Windows Vista, MSCHAPv1 has been deprecated and the default is MSCHAPv2. Can you check if the SBS has been configured to accept MSCHAPv2? Please let me know what you find. thanks Aanand
