VPN becom immortal if phisical connection lost
I had situation many times with different laptops and Vista but it does not happen with Windows XP.1. You have VPN connection over WiFi. 2. When WiFi connection lost then you cannot close VPN connection any more3. If you right click on network icon in the tray and choose disconnect from your VPN connection then nothing happen!4. If you chose Connect to The Network, select your VPN connection and click disconnect then window hold forever.Event you establish WiFi connection later then it does not help close VPN connection. How to fix it Vista problem or make something workaround? P.S. I'm cannot go back to Windows XP because of hardware compatibility but sometimes I so want to do that.

Hi, Are you using the wizard in Windows Vista to create and connect to the VPN, or a third party VPN connection program to realize it? If any third party VPN program is in using, please remove it, re-create the VPN connection via the wizard in Windows Vista. If the issue still occurs, I suggest that you upgrade the network adapter driver. Follow the steps below to remove the existed driver first. 1. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter. 2. Expand "Network Adapters", double-click on the entry of the wireless network device. 3. Click the tab "Driver", click "Uninstall". 4. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. 5. Remove the entries related to the wireless network adapter. Then, download the latest driver for the WIFI adapter from the computer manufacturer's website. If the issue reoccurs after you upgrade the driver, temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall then check the result again. If the issue persists, please let us know if the issue also occurs with Ethernet connection. Also, let us know the model of your system and the WIFI device.
