VPN connection constantly drops out every few minutes
I am trying to connect to the office network from home via VPN using my laptop which has Windows 7 Ultimate and the connection keeps dropping out every 3-4 mins. The firewall is turned off. There is no issue with the modem router because I have no problem connecting to the office using my own PC which has Windows 7 Home Premium. I am not sure what goes wrong here since it was working a few weeks before.

Hi, I do establish the VPN connection with the Windows built-in feature. The issue persists after I tried steps 1-3 above. I then enable RRAS log and can find some errors in the log: [5276] 03-11 12:01:15:738: d:\w7rtm\net\rras\ras\rasman\rasman\request.c: 3594: port 5 async reqtype chg: prev=0, new=0 [5276] 03-11 12:01:15:738: d:\w7rtm\net\rras\ras\rasman\rasman\request.c: 3597: port 5 state chg: prev=4, new=4 [5276] 03-11 12:01:15:738: RemoveConnectionPort: port 5, fOwnerClose=0, pConn=0x676dec0, pConn->CB_Ports=0 [5276] 03-11 12:01:15:738: Completely disconnected connection: Reason: ERROR_LINK_FAILURE (829) There are no events created by RemoteAccess in the event log.
