VPN on Windows 7 Home Premium
I have a LAN set up at my home and recently set up a VPN server on my Windows 7 x64 Home Premium desktop so that I could access files remotely. I forwarded port 1723 on my router and allowed PPNP pass through. I am able to connect remotely to my network
immediately and can see my shared folders. When I click on the folders, however, I can a time out error which says that I may not have access privileges. I can access all the folders when I am on my LAN and I am using the same name and password for signing
remotely. I even configured my router as a VPN server to see if it would work but the same thing happens. I even tried forwarding file and printer sharing ports to no avail. I even have put the router on DMZ and disabled the firewall (not at the same time)
with the same results.
For some reason the VPN is connecting but it not allowing me access to folders even though they are shared.
Any ideas?
