I get this message when trying to open Word or Excel (2003). I also get it when I try to reinstall Office 2003. I have downloaded Windows XP-KB942288-V3-x86 as suggested by the Microsft web site. Didn't help. I have not found any helpful info. on the Microsoft web site. I am spending a lot of time looking at the Windows Installer screen.Note: am running XP SP3
