Validation of window xp
I am getting a message on right bottom corner of my desktop pc that You may be victim of software counterfeiting. Your copy of windows did not pass windows validation. I had purchased my PC from HCL in India alongwith a valid WindowXP software and I have got a genuine product key number with me. But I am not able revalidate Window XP installed on my PC. Pl. suggest how to fix this problem. -- MKP12 people need an answerI do too

Hello, Contact mircosoft and they will ask you to send the validation key by return. When they have checked it and find it ok they will, by return, send you an email with a link, which you click on and then follow the instructions. hope this helps

I didn't get that far, when I tried to Validate - my Windows XP with service pack 3, through the links on the microsoft website. It said my copy, wasn't a valid copy (of course I only have Microsoft's word on that!) When I tried to email mail them through their link. The email address was rejected - note that's microsoft's not mine. I seriously do not need this hassle.

You are rather vague in the steps that you have taken (there are a boatload of links on the Microsoft Website). Here are two Microsoft KB articles describing how to deal with this problem. See if there is something in them that you haven't tried:"Windows Genuine Advantage does not validate a copy of Windows XP" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916247 >"How to resolve a Windows Genuine Advantage product key or volume license key validation issue" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932300 >HTH, JW
