Vista Business Remote Desktop just stopped working
Hi Guys,
I'm stumped with this one.
RDP just stopped working on a basic workgroup network. Its been working fine since day one without a hitch. I've looked at everything and I'm now down to a possible reinstall of windows.
What I have done so far:
1. Reset RDP settings
2. Tried another PORT
3. I can Telnet OK internally and externally but windows client will not connect.
4. Removed AV and checked all firewall settings. All OFF
What I have found when I try and connect I get this event ID TERMDD
The Terminal Server security layer detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.
Any help in fixing this one will be greatly appreciated

Hi There,
Have tried this a number of times. Reset. Do you mean factory reset?

Hi,
At this point, you can run the troubleshooting tool to automatically detect the root cause.
Please click Start, type troubleshooting and press Enter. Click "Connect to the Internet" under the "Network and Internet" section.
