Vista Pro PPTP VPN to SBS03
I have a user with laptop that will not connect by VPN. This client runs Vista Pro with MSE and Windows Firewall, along with the usual hodgepodge of software (nothing weird).
The laptop is not a domain member, though the user account is. The local username on the laptop, and the domain username are the same.
The server is SBS 2003 Premium. Other XP, Vista and 7 clients connect just fine using the same path, and the username we're trying can connect just fine from another machine.
The VPN setup is as simple as it gets using the standard client built into Windows.
I've tried any combination of settings. I've replicated the settings from a working Vista. I've tried re-building the PPTP and L2TP stack as suggested in another post. I've tried turning off IPv6. I've tried turning off the firewall.
All it does is think for ~30 secs and fail.
Um, . . . stumped. Can someone help?
Many thanks

I have news!
Finally had the chance to have the machine in front of me!
Wired - the PPTP VPN connection goes through just fine. Wireless - not a chance :(
In the SHARING properties for the wireless adapter the "Allow other network users to connect through this computers Internet Connection" tickbox was checked. I removed that and success. If this can help someone else, I'll be glad.
