Hello, I am trying to setup a VPN. The server is a Vista Business and the client a Windows XP. Firewals are turned off on both machines and server-side router firewall turned off as well. The VPN type is set to automatic on client computer. The client seems to be connecting fine, providing usr&pass registering on the network. I can see the client in Network Connections on server machine, but when opening status window I see that: Media Type: Connected IPv4 Connectivuty: Not Connected Duration: 00:00:00 I cannot see any event in the event viewer. Any ideas? Thank you

Just to give an update on this in case it helps someone, it works fine with a vista client machine. Thank you.

I have tested connecting to the VPN from the same internet connection from one XP and one Vista machine. Only the XP doesn't work, so it's definetly the fact that the client is an XP and server a Vista. I can't find anything similar on Google. Any ideas? Thank you.

Solved this! Both networks were using the 192.168.1.x IPs Changed one of them to 192.168.2.x and all works fine
