Vista cannot connect to intenet
my VISTA64 sp1 pc all of a sudden cannot connect to the internet anymore. This is a dual boot machine, in XPsp3 mode I can surf just fine, hence hardware is fine. The problem started about 2 weeks ago. The Network and Sharing Center shows:Computer ------ Network ---X--- InternetRunning Network Diagnostics only confirms there is a problem:"Windows has confirmed that this computer is currently experiencing a network connectivity problem --> Windows found a problem that cannot be repaired automatically".Problem is the same with DHCP and with fixed IP address. Can only ping other computers on my network but not anyone on the internet. All system restores failed. Uninstalled AV software, no change.Googling didn't help much, tried suggestions like resetting Winsock, disabling firewall; all to no avail.Any suggestions?

I had the same problem, It would work in Ubuntu, but not Vista, so I knew it was software.
This fixed it immediately.
Thank you!
