Vista loading temporary profiles instead of roaming profiles
HiWe have a Laptop that is running vista on our network, all the other windows PCs are on XP.we have roaming profiles on our network, but with the Vista PC it will only load up temp profiles. I have had a look around and there have been people who have had the same problem. I have tried their fixes but no luck - has anyone elsehow to get aroundthis?I have also tried to recreate the account on the Vista PC but this did the same thing. Thanks

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Check if you can log on theproblematic computer with the local administrator account. If this is successful, please also ensure the computer can communicate with the server (such as using the ping command). 2. Log on with the domain account and check if you can access the share folder which stores your roaming profile. 3. Disjoin and rejoin the computer to domain to check the issue. 4. If you have another Windows Vista client, please check if it will meet the similar issue. Meanwhile, please gather the following information for our further research: 1. The error message you received when failed to load the roaming profile. 2. Check the event log to see if there are any related errors. 3. Collect the Userenv.log file How to enable user environment debug logging in retail builds of Windows http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833 Please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file and share its URL with us. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
