Hello, in my company we have from time to time trouble with our Vista Enterprise computers during login. They sometimes go back to the login screen after typing username/psw when logging on the computer. Is this a well-known problem with vista?

Yes, Victor is correct. This is not a this is not a general behavior of Windows Vista systems. When this behavior occurs, the user profile cannot be correctly loaded by the system. There can be multiple reasons. In order to confirm the root cause, we have to know if your company network environment is a domain, and whether the user profiles are Local Profile or Roaming Profile. Also please let us know the following facts. 1. If there is any error prompts when the log on is failed.2. If you could logon at the next attempt after the logon issue occurs. 3. If you could logon with another account at the next attempt after the logon issue occurs4. Is there any change on the computer which may change the boot partition drive letter? Check the Event Log on the computers and some reasons may be found. Click Start, in the Start Search box type eventvwr.msc and press Enter to open Event Log. If the computers are in domain, and the user profiles are Roaming Profile, the cached Roaming Profile on local computers may break the rule of the Roaming Profile settings, such as exceeded size, forbidden programs, etc. If the profile components on the server location are corrupt, the issue will occur either.
