Vista problem with our network
We have eight workstations in our office. Seven are on XP, a new computer on Vista. Our server is a Dell that runs Microsoft Small Business Server 2003. The new HP computer with Vista has a communication problem with our server. When you start up the Vista computer, it pops up a text balloon in the bottom right that reads, "Can not connect all network drives" When you open "My Computer" the Network Icon has a red X through it. If you double click, it gives you the Server User Name and Password dialoug box. Type that in, and you connect to the server. However, there is a software program that is stored on our server, and on each workstation is a shortcut on each desktop screen. On the Vista computer, even if you have connected to the Network, you must go through a maze of Browse clicks to find the folder to operate the software program. I have called HP four times, my ISP, my network installation company, McAfee support and tried Microsoft Knowledge base. If someone can please help it will allow me to save what sanity I have remaining. thank you, Dan
