Vista users access to network connections
Hi all, I've been poking around for a while and can't see anything in the group policy to allow users to have access to enable/disable/modify network connections. the reason I need this is for remote users who will need to modify their wireless and other connections depending on where they are connecting. One program in particular (Access IBM Connections) does not allow a user to disconnect or connect within the software.. Any information would be great, thanks

Hello SamUPI, If you haven't already, you might want to try the Network Configuration Operators Group. Members of this groups is able to delegate privilages of the configuration of network features. This MS KB article applies to Windows XP but the Network Configuration Operators groups is available in Vista. Hi Eric Thanks for the reply. I think somewhere in between allowing a ton of network configuration options in the user config, assigning the users to the network configuration group and making them Power Users, I was able to get Access IBM Connections to work. Now I just have to weed out if it's a combination of all of those things or just one in particular. Thanks for the help

This group works on WinXP, but not on Vista (SP1). I suspect it's a bug in Vista...
