Hi,

Currently we have win 7 clients which are getting activate using KMS. Now, we are planning to migrate all the clients to Win8.1. 

I want to know can we use the same KMS license or we need re-install a new license. During testing, we deployed Win 8.1 but those computers are not getting activated automatically. So, i am thinking we need to re-install the license on our KMS server.

Please advise.

Depending upon the OS of your KMShost, you may need to install an update on your KMShost machine, and, install a later CSVLK (KMShost product key) on the KMShost.
