I am not sure what forum to go to so here it goes. My laptop was connecting fine one day and the next there is this miniport thing saying error 651. I have looked for all the virtual programs and found none. I looked at the most recent updates and they were all on 2/10/10 the problem started on 2/18/10. I am at a loss. My other laptop which has vista not windows 7 is working just fine. Some one please help. I am not good with pc so I will need to be walked through.

Hi, May I know what the connection is and when and where you notice this error? At this time, please also try the following to check the issue: 1. Please boot the computer to Clean Boot environment to check the issue: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 2. Longtime Mac user who just bought a dell inspiron mini for my wife. Can't connect to 'net (I'm using a switch to accomodate both Dell and desktop IMac). Mac is fine and I can get online. Keep getting 651 error no matter what I try. I'd love to do a "clean boot" but don't know how. Ditto for disabling Firewalls. Thanks! -AT
