WIndows 7 and Outlook 2010 English and French folders
I bought a machine in France with Windows 7. I then purchased Windows 7 Anywhere that upgraded my system to Windows 7 Ultimate. I chose to work in English. I now find that in C:\Users\Carl I have TWO folders: "My Documents" AND "Mes documents". The problem is that I cannot access "Mes documents" that contains the Outlook 2010 Calendar.ics files. Four questions in the order of their importance: How can I delete C:\Users\Carl\Mes documents\Calendar.ics when I cannot access it? Why does the English version of Outlook 2010 access Mes documents and not My Documents? The only thing I can think of is that Office 2010 (Starter Edition) in French was delivered with the machine. How can I access the "Mes documents" folder? How can I avoid the confusion caused by having both My Documents and Mes doucments folders? Do I need to uninstall something?Carl Van Tassel

Hi, thank you for posting here. After check your issue, it seems the problem related with the folder permission. Please try to take ownership of the folders and files, you can refer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx Why does the English version of Outlook 2010 access Mes documents and not My Documents? “The only thing I can think of is that Office 2010 (Starter Edition) in French was delivered with the machine.” This should be the reason. When you can open the folder, copy the useful files from it and then delete the folder.
