WMP12 has it's own life... or...
I came home... and Media Player was closed...I left the computer around 8:00 PM, Media Player was paused, and had a DVD loaded...I came back around.... 10:20....And I noticed that Media Player was closed.......When I search down my Event Log I found this error:
Faulting application name: wmplayer.exe, version: 12.0.7100.0, time stamp: 0x49ee97f5
Faulting module name: ac3filter.ax_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x48747189

Report Id: d7972086-59dd-11de-a143-9f64102445d3The only thing I need to know about this...Did this generate a user-interface error, (The "This program has stopepd working....")... So "some-one" had to click it so that Media Player closes by User Input...Or is it possible that Media Player closed by it's own, and didn't leave a message (or the message took care of itself)??

Obviously the issue is caused by the file ac3filter.ax. It is an audio decoder and processor filter. You may find this file and rename it. If the issue persists, please remove all installed Codec packs and players. Arthur Xie - MSFT
