WZCS Keeps stopping
A friend moved his pc to his bedroom and plugged in and setup his USB wireless dongle. Previouly the PC was wired direct to router with no problems going on line. He ran the software setup disc with no problems. Now he cannot connect to his ISP, When you try and start the WZC service it soon stops again, "matter of seconds" (yes it set to Auto) sometimes it stays started and everything looks OK but when you try and connect to the net it won't saying that its off line. When you click connect it does not seem to make a difference, I note that there are no packets being recieved. Ie explorer asks if you wish to continue working off line. Very strange. I was wondering if both Windows and the software he installed for the dongle were perhaps both trying to do the same thing and perhaps I ought to de-install the dongle and re-install it but use a Windows driver rather than the software that came with it. Failing that just use the driver on the disc without running the setup program. !! Regards Cliff from over the Pond. 1 person needs an answerI do too
