I recently install Windows 7 onto my PC aand when I try to add a network location(FTP site)after going into "Computer" right clicking then selecting "add network location" I folloedw the steps until its time to enter the web address than i got an error message that says "The folder you have entered does notappear to be vaild. Pleasechoose another" I had the same problem with Vista Home Premium but i found a hot fix (KB907306) that fixed the problem but i cant seem to get it to work on Windows 7

You will probably have to enter the location manually. I have had no issues doing this, you just need to type it in as \\network_location_name or \\IP_address. Is this site on your network our external?

Its an external website (work related). When you say enter it manually, do you mean without using the wizard? If so can you send me instructions on how to do it without the wizard. The site is http://folder.epa.state.il.us/oneNet/NetStorage/if there is something wrong with the format of the address please advise. Thanks

No you would still be using the wizard. Do you know the exact IP address for the share?

I have this issue on Windows 7 64 bit. After Windows installationI can set up a web folder OK, but some time later or after reboot I cannot have access to the folder. The system starts to give a message that I do not have a permission to access the folder. If I delete the folder and try to set up it again, I receive the message "The folder you have entered does notappear to be vaild. Pleasechoose another". There was a fix for Vista, but Win7 seems to have this issue again.
