I am using WebFolders on Windows 7 Enterprise to connect to a WebDAV server (all calls to WebDAV server work fine with Windows XP). After the mapping to a DAV URL is done, during navigation, Web Folders inserts a DavWWWRoot in the mapping and cannot continue unless the mapping is deleted and remapped. Are there any known workarounds for the same?

Hi, Regarding the Web Folders issue, it is related to SharePoint Server settings which may not be resolved from a Windows 7 standpoint. Please understand that we only discuss Windows 7 network issue in this thread. Thus, we are not the best resource for this issue. I suggest you also create a new thread in the SharePoint Server forum. Meanwhile, based on my research, I would suggest you try the following steps on Windows 7 side. 1. Reset Internet Explorer 8 settings. 2. Perform a Clean Boot to check the result 3. Assure the Webclient service is started. I have seen lots of problems with Sharepoint, I am over there lots helping users fix Windows 7 connection problems. Like Novak said, reset IE8 and see if that works.
