Webdav connection question
Hello
I upgraded to Win7 ultimate and now I can't access my remote win2003 server via webdav. It will let me map the network drive just fine but when I try to actually access it it pops up a message box that states:
"Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server."
I can RTS over to the box just fine and as stated it works fine under Vista. Any suggestions? Does webdav even work under Win7? I see many posts with people having webdav issues in Win7 world.
thanks

Hi,
Does this issue occur to all network drives?
This problem may occur if the name of the subfolder contains one or more high ASCII characters.

Hi Alex,
Sorry for the delayed rsponse. We lost electricity Wed, Thur, Fri so I've been buried. This is the only network drive connection I have. The subfolders weren't changed when I upgraded from Vista where they worked fine.
Thanks

Alex - I can enter the address https://xxxxx.dynalias.org/FTP/ in IE and it connects fine. From there I can click on a file and it launches, etc. It is just when I try to map the drive that I get stuck. Sometimes it will let me go through
the complete mapping process and only when I launch file explorer and try to click on the mapped location do I get "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another." At other times this message appears in mid
process.
Thanks

Here is the solution:
Apparently Windows 7 is a lot less forgiving than Vista and XP on security. The certificate IIS used on the server had expired. Vista didn't care. Win7 did care and wouldn't let the connection occur and put up a stupid and irrelevant error
message. On the server I went into IIS Manager, Default Web Site Properties, Directory Security, Secure Communications, Server Certificate - and replaced the expired cert with a new one. Bam. Win7 webdav client connection works fine.
