Website redirects not working over DirectAccess

Hi everybody,

We have DirectAccess installed and are having trouble with one of our web based applications.

Whilst on the the internal network if we navigate to http://physicalhost then it automatically resolves and redirects to http://mywebapplication but when working from home over DirectAccess the redirect doesn't happen. I can type the http://mywebapplication directly in to the web browser and it will work fine.

I can ping and resolve both the hostname and web address from the client on DirectAccess and I get a response so there doesn't appear to be any connectivity issues. If I type http://physicalhost from the UAG box, it correctly resolves to http://mywebapplication

The problem is that certain functions in the website call popup pages that are targetted at the hostname and these are failing.

Is there any firewall or UAG settings which I need to enable to allow a redirected website to function correctly?

Regards,

Michael

We managed to fic this my changing the redirects to point to http://mywebapplication and therefore remove any entries to the physical hosts directly.
