Hello. I have a question regarding UPnP. I read about UPnP online and it says if it's on it lets devices join a network dynamically when they are connected to the network. I looked the information everywhere so that I can understand how it really works, but they all talk about technical stuff that I don't quite understand......if I enable UPnP on 2 of my XP computers(computer1 and 2) and also on my router ,what does it really happen? For example, can computer1 access all the files on computer2 even though there is no files in shared folder on computer2?? can both computers log on to each others computer something like remote desktop?? I read somewhere you can brows other UPnP enabled computers and devices on a network with web browser. It means you can brows the files which is in shared folders, but not entire files(which is not in shared folders) on the computers? if I enable UPnP on my computers and or on my router, is anyone who is not on the same network as I am able to access my files on my computer or something? my question sounds pretty dummy.... but if anyone can help and break it down for me so that i can understand a little better, I would really appreciate it.Thank you very much in advance.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,With UPnP [Universal Plug and Play] you cannot access one computer from another computer like a remote desktop. UPnP is an extension of plug-and-play, a technology for dynamically attaching devices directly to a computer.
