What is this icon under Network Locations?

I've got four of them, and they seem to have the machine names, in parentheses, of other computers in my office. How did they get there and what happens if I choose "remove device"? I'm guessing somebody before me had a bunch of Windows Media sharing connections, but I really don't know. It's not a feature of the OS I've ever used or that I'm familiar with.

Those are machines that are streaming/sharing music hence the musical note  You can of course either turn off sharing on those machines or remove the icons (by remove device)
