What to expect on Network Map
I have a PC connected via LAN to my router which is gateway to my ISP. The router has alsoestablished a wireless networkand I want my Vista PC to see devices accessible over the wireless network. How do I get MS Vista to do that? When I look at the Networking window it doesn't show any wireless networks. It doesn't show anything at all. But the router admin pages show the network routers talking to each otherand everything looks correct. Network discovery is turned on. What am I missing here?

If your other computers are running XP SP2, have you installed the LLTD responder on them for network discovery? Have you checked the firewall settings (trusts) on all the computers? See my post"Windows Vista <--> XP home networking succesfully resolved!" at http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1683125&SiteID=17 And let us know if the network remains invisible after implementing all the relevant steps. As suggested in other threads,I was able to get a Network map bysetting Priority & VLAN: Disabledin Ethernet properties.configure.advanced tab. Don't ask me why it works. I have no idea.
