BGaYa,Did you have the problem mentioned herebefore the update? Do you have any add-ons that you can disable? Is it only Internet Explorer that cannot reach the internet? Have you tried Firefox to double check?

BGaYa,What are you running for antivirus/system security software? Many security 'suites' (those that inlcude antivirus, firewall, et. al.) tend to block IE after installing an update such as that.Reason: the update replaces core IE files, causing the security app to treat IE as a 'new' program. End result: IE is blocked from having network access.Correction: remove and re-add IE to the list of trusted programs.HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Actually I didn't install any add-on manually, I had the defults. And not the internet explorer only, also I can't update windows and any software like the BitDefender Antivirus. I didn't try The Firefox yet, I just restored the system and disabled the automatic win update.

Mr. Cupler,Not only IE which is affected, also I can't Update the BitDefender Total Secutrity, Windows Update, WL Massenger and I cant use the internet connection while the system shows that I am connected to the internet! other LAN and WLAN users are using the internet connection without any problem. I also tried to connect to other places using ADSL. Also used HSDPA& WCDMAthrough the Bundlex USB Card using the Mobile SIM card, the same problem appears!

Just remove the update and wait for the next one.

If you view the available updates you can tell Windows update to ignore certain updates.

Hello BGaya,If you go into Control Panel>Programs and Features>in the top left click view installed updates. In this panel you can right click the KB970858 update and uninstall it. After reboot you can go back to Windows update and choose to ignore or hide that update.-Scott
