When I logged off, my user account on the welcome screen was gone. I'm the comp. admin., all of my files are still in the computer under my user name and it says I already exsists. What do I do? Please help.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? Do you have XP Pro/Media Center? Were you using the built-in Administrator account for your daily work? Did you then create a second administrative user account? If the answer to those questions is "yes" then the computer is behaving as designed. The built-in Administrator account will become hidden when a second administrative user account is created.
