When I receive an email in outlook with a jpg attachment when i try to open the jpg it attempts to open it as a word file

Hi Chromeknob, The following link provides step by step instructions on how to set the default application for jpg's: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/hwandprograms/filetype.mspx I'd recommend setting it to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
