When printing from one website within Internet Explorer it crashes the print spooler, works fine in Google Chrome
Bit of a strange one this....
The pc is running windows 7 32 bit, Internet Explorer 9, printing to a Xerox Phaser 6128MFP Printer via local ip address
I am able to print from standard websites fine. When using HSBC Business banking, and then trying to print from the site, the spooler will crash and cannot be restarted. Its then a case of going into safe mode, renaming drivers directory and the spooler
and then restarting.
Using the same windows profile and the same web browser and the same internet address, someone else can log into the website and use it in exactly the same way and it will works fine, but for the other person when they try and print it will crash the spooler.
Its the same sort of information being printed just from two different banking logons.
If you do the same using Google Chrome it works fine for all users.
So far I have: -
Cleared cookies etc, via CCleaner
Reset Internet Explorer to defaults
Disabled Internet Explorer add-ins
Installed a different printer driver
Changed the print spool options for this printer
Turned Internet Explorer off and then on again as a windows feature
Would really appreciate some guidance. We don't have any other printers here and no other pc's look to have this problem. Thanks.
