Error code 0x800703e7This specific error occurs when there is a problem performing an inpage operation. This error typically occurs because of corruption of the disk.Try running the Chkdsk utility.Chkdsk: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb491051.aspxAnd, note that Service Pack 3 is the current Service Pack available for Windows XP. I too am getting the 0x800703E7 error message when I try to download SP2. I tried the Chkdsk utility but SP2 still won't download. I was not able to download SP1a either so it won't let me download SP3. What else can I do to get SP2 on my PC?

Are you trying to download directly from MS or with MU/WU? I would suggest trying to download SP3 directly from MS.ISO Image----------http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2fcde6ce-b5fb-4488-8c50-fe22559d164e--------Regards,Hank ArnoldMicrosoft MVPWindows Server - Directory Serviceshttp://it.toolbox.com/blogs/personal-pc-assistant/On 12/5/2010 10:49 AM, Nancie1234 wrote:I too am getting the 0x800703E7 error message when I try to download SP2.
