Why Disk D can only be recognized by setting to the lowset UAC level?
Hi, I have a PC which is Windows 7. I had a only user which is a domain user and added it into administrator group. the problem is when I login with the domain user and copy file into Disk D, it alway tells me i have no right to the disk. Why ? And if i give the domain user permission to the disk D, after restart the machine, the domain user lost the permission to disk D again. But Disk E can work fine without this permission issue. both disk are NTFS. Where is the problem ? Another way to solve this problem is to set the UAC to the lowest. but i donot like this. how can i resolve this problem ? Any reply will be appreciated! Hi, Check the security tab for both D: \ drive and E:\ drive, compare if there are some differences. Configure the D:\ drive to have the same permissions with E:\ drive. Meanwhile, as the domain user is belonged to the administrator group, please create a new local user account and login to see if the problem occurs. This helps us identify if the cause is relevant to the user profile settings or the computer configuration. Moreover, I am assuming that while you login a domain user, the D:\ drive is marked as used by another process in domain. Please try to change the drive letter to see how it works: 1) Click the Start Button, type diskmgmt.msc in the “Start Search” box and press Enter. 2) Right click the D: drive and click "Change Drive Letter and Paths". 3) Click "Change" and select another drive letter, such as "H:". Click "OK". 4) Click "Yes". Best Regards DalePlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
