Why does Windows 7 lose Windows Credentials after a restart?
I can add them and they work, but after a restart they are no longer listed in the Credential Manager under Windows Credential. I need to add these for our 100+ users to ease access to our SharePoint servers. In Windows XP we could add them under User Accounts.
It appears that Generic Credentials are retained, but adding the SharePoint servers to Generic Credentials does not work, they need to be under Windows Credentials.
I have seen similar questions to mine, but I have been unable to find an asnwer that resolves this problem. I hope someone can help.
I am adding more details to make this more understandable.
I manually add a Windows Credential in Credential Manager such as:
Internet or network address: *.domain.com
User name: domain\username
Password: ********
Then after I log off or restart, this entry is no longer in credential manager. When I do expand the entry I can see Persistence is Logon Session, so I'm assuming it has something to do with that. But I cannot see any way to change the Perstistence. Maybe
I'm off on this and this has nothing to do with my problem.
I can provide more information is anyone thinks they can help me with this.

Hi,
Before going further, please let me know the following information.
1. Which way the user access to the SharePoint server? Through Internet Explorer or UNC?
2. Have you created additional Authentication to access the server? If no, the domain user can access the server directly. You don't need to add each user into Credential
Manager. If the user is not a domain user, Credential Manger will remember the username and password when the user first access to the server.
3. If the issue only occurs when trying to logon SharePoint
