I can not find out if denfender will scan a mapped drive or a usb dirve or a sata external drive. Anyone know

Yes Windows Defender will scan all the attached drives including the USB drive and all external drives.The only way to do it is to run "windows defender" and then click on the small down pointing arrow mark next to "scan" and then select "custom scan" and then select "scan selected drives and folders" and then click on "select" this would list all the drives attached and mapped into your computer.And then you can begin the scan.....Hope this should help.If you have still more queries please post it here and type in your feedback....Regards, KOWSHAL H.M. a.k.a W@R10CK
