Using win7rc build 7100 for a coupe of weeks now. Recieved updates and all seemed ok. Suddenly a screen comes up saying activation has failed: retype call or call for help and so forth. why?ITT manager Home LAN administrator

Hi,It can happen that this is the First activation attempt the system is making. And maybe the productkey is wrong?In the System properties of Control Panel, scroll down to activation status, click "change productkey" and enter the key you got when downloading the RC.Ciao,Sabine---Just a HP Mini Netbook running Windows 7 RC ---

Hi and thanks for trying to help.The problem went away after a few minutes. I remember now that it happend after I disconnected from my home lan (wired) and connected to my home's wifi (same network and router, just wifi part). Later I connected to a public wifi network in Copenhagen and during that time the problem (activitation request) did not recur.I say again that the activation problem occured a week or so after a successful clean install and after recieving updates. No it did not change. Was running for about a half hour when the problem occurred. The onlyl difference was that I connectecd to my home network using wifi part of my home network. originally it was installed using the wired lan part of my home network. in both cases I connected to the network successfully.
