Win7 Event 6005 and 6006
HiWe are working with Windows7 Enterprise 32Bit and a Win2k3 R2 SP2 DomainI have on all my notebooks the Event 6005:The winlogon notification subscriber <GPClient> is taking long time to handle the notification event (CreateSession). And the Event 6006: The winlogon notification subscriber <GPClient> took 3599 second(s) to handle the notification event (CreateSession). On the Win7 Client appears "Please Wait..." for a long time.I updated the network drivers, now the events appears not anymore on every start but almost to often.I removed all logon-script and the "Wait for network..." options but nothing happend. After that I disabled all "Preferences" Options and the Messages doesn't appear anymore. So what can I do to solve this issue??I need the "Preferences" Settings in the GPO.I found the KB943729.http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=bfe775f9-5c34-44d0-8a94-44e47db35add&displaylang=enThis Update isn't installed on our Win2k3 Domain Controllers. Can it be that the problems would be fixed with this update?Or has somebody an idea how I can fix that?

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Check the connectivity of the Windows 7 client, the DNS server, the DHCP server and the DC. 2. Check the issue in Clean Boot environment: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 3. Double-check the NIC driver. If you have an external NIC, please plug it to the Windows 7 client and see how it works. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
