Win7 Publisher-Unknown File Origin-HD on Computer
Hello, I have Windows 7 Home Premium and recently all of my Microsoft programs began showing up from an unknown publisher. Also the file origin is a HD on computer? I am trying to have windows recognize microsoft programs as microsoft programs like normal. I have all my microsoft root certificates installed. I deleted the environmental variables (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp),recreated them, and restarted. Still didn't help. I renamed the catroot2 folder to old right before this happened. Then I deleted it. I'm not sure if this caused the issue? If you could supply me with some information on what caused it and why. Also possible fixes I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi, I suppose this issue is caused by the file which contains certificate information or signature of files may be corrupted. You may try to copy the catdb file from the Windows Installation Disk to the catroot2 folder.
