Win7 RC x64 - Explorer crashing
Hello, Sorry for double post, but not sure if this is the wrong forum. Since I installed Win 7 RC x64 (build 7100) on both my laptop and desktop, I am experiencing reproducible and very frequent crashes in Explorer.exe Both installation were fresh (no upgrade, format and install) and both installations show same problem: 1. winkey + R 2. type something to run 3. most likely the run dialog will hang while you type something 4. in other cases, I hover over an application in the taskbar and as it previews itself, explorer hangs too! Please advise. -- Elias

Hello DFT, I started investigating more about the issue and it turned out to be caused by BitDefender Free Edition 2009, specifically related to BitDefender's MIDAS' dlls. I removed the software in question and Explorer is not crashing anymore (at least not as readily/frequently as it was).
